Ok , dumb question maybe... However there must be some rule of thumb regarding where you place you check looking down the sights. The further back
make for more accurate shots , or up close the the eye guard.. any ideas please

Not sure if there is a right or wrong answer. I prefer to creep up on the stock using my thumb along my cheek as a reference point. We called it a spot weld in the service.

Trial and error. Move back for a while, then move forward. There is a sweet spot, you just have to find it. It only took me 25 or 30 thousand pellets to find mine.
