Ok, so maybe that is not the correct name, however it is now ok to use rear sight mag . Question is how is it working out ? who has tried it and do you feel its worth the expense. <style></style>

At the last meeting there was only one person who said he had one, a new member. I think Jim F. talked to him about it after the meeting. The least expensive option I've seen is at CC. The Gehmann 530 adjustable iris and a 1.5 diopter with -4.5 to +4.5 correction. $138+ shipping.

From what I've read, you adjust the iris until the front sight is sharp, most likely in the 0.8-1.1 range. Then you adjust the diopter to hopefully clear up the target bull. I'm not sure whether this setup will work if you have astigmatism. Typically with a rear iris adjusted for maximum depth of field (ie. clear front sight), the target will generally be blurry, which in theory is ok. I'd like to try one out just to see for myself if it works. Perhaps the $40. front diopter is a better option........

OK, I could not leave this discussion without getting in my two cents.
If you are having trouble seeing the front air rifle sites clearly try this. Just slide the front site in (toward the rear site) or out (away from the rear site) on the front rail. You (the shooter) will see the front site become sharply displayed in the rear site. When you have the front site displayed sharply in the rear site, lock down the screws on the front site. Most of the better competition rifles have this system, a rail for the front site. Also, something to know before you buy. You don't have the front rail on your rifle, I guess your out $138.

This is a good place for this.
The past couple of weeks I've been testing a new front sight. It's just 2 round clear plastic disk set into a holder in place of the front sight. The setup is the same as any normal front sight. Before sight in, move the front sight up and down the front rail to find the clearest sight picture. The first thing you will notice is you can see all of the target. All ten black dots and it's very easy to find the target you are shooting at. Second, is all of the clutter you see on old front sights is gone. Just 2 clear plastic disks in front of your target. Target picture is exceptional and sighting in the rifle was normal.
